Who We Are Choice People, on behalf of our client, is thrilled to offer an incredible opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Duty Manager to join the team at one of County Offaly’s finest four-star hotels.

Role Overview: This is a unique opportunity for a proactive and driven Duty Manager to join a highly esteemed hospitality team. You will be instrumental in maximising income potential while ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the hotel’s various departments. This hands-on, varied role emphasises leadership, teamwork, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborating closely with the management team, focusing on Food & Beverage.
  • Managing day-to-day hotel operations, conducting daily walkarounds to address issues, and ensuring facilities are well-maintained.
  • Providing hands-on support in different departments as required.
  • Supporting HR and managers in employee training and development.
  • Identifying and implementing revenue/upselling opportunities.
  • Setting goals and incentive plans for the Food & Beverage team.
  • Leading and guiding the team to meet performance targets.
  • Overseeing conferences, banqueting events, housekeeping, and Food & Beverage outlets.
  • Ensuring excellent customer service with strong leadership and a can-do attitude.
  • Reviewing the hotel’s business pipeline daily and monthly to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintaining open communication across departments.
  • Additional duties as assigned by hotel management.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in Food & Beverage or Banqueting management within a 4-star hotel.
  • HACCP certification is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to multitask and work collaboratively across departments.
  • Experience in conferences and events management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent presentation skills.
