Assistant Spa Manager – 5 Star Resort

Choice People on behalf of our client have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Spa Manager to join the team of this prestigious resort property.

This role would suit a strong Spa Supervisor stepping up into their first management position. In order to be considered for this role you must have spa supervisory/management experience in Ireland in a high end property and have full working rights to work here. This is a hands on role that requires the Assistant Manager to perform massages and facials and work a 5 over 7 roster including shift work and weekends.

The Role:

• To assist with the daily operations of the Spa including the reception, gym, swimming pool, treatment rooms and leisure area.
• To assist with the implementation of the Spa Standards using “Best Practice” operating procedures
• To maximise the Spa’s business potential through effective yield management, booking procedures, strong retailing and up selling.
• To monitor all guest feedback and to assist with the implementation of systems to address relevant comments thus ensuring continuous guest satisfaction.
• To attend all meetings as requested in the Spa Operations Managers absence e.g. morning briefings.
• To work with the Spa Operations Manager to initiate and instigate new ideas and avenues for guaranteed future growth and development.
• To lead and continually re-assess/train spa therapists to ensure the highest level of delivery, knowledge and experience at all times, This includes a set induction period for all new members of staff.
• To carry out treatments when required, delivering the highest level of consist Spa Therapy at all times.
• To have experience in body (massage) and facial work.

This is how we see you:

• Experience in a similar within a 5 start/luxury brand outlet is advantageous.
• Excellent people management skills with the ability to drive the team to top standards of service
• Qualified to QQI Level 5&6, ITEC, CIBTAC, CIDESCO or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Spa Therapist or a recent graduate looking to gain invaluable experience
• Someone with excellent customer service skills
