Choice People are recruiting on behalf of their client for a Chef de Partie to join the team. This could be a key role in developing your kitchen career further. You will be working under a well-established and professional Head Chef. The hotel has a number of different food outlets and is a favoured destination for locals, tourist and function alike.

Locations: Co. Kildare

Salary: Depending on experience

Hours: Full time, 5 days over 7

Candidates must have legal status to live and work in The Republic of Ireland


In your role you be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of high quality food to the guests in their chosen food area. Be passionate about preparing and serving quality food.

Main Duties to include:

  • Overseeing a section of the kitchen and preparing food within that section.
  • To ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely and hygienic fashion to the appropriate agreed standard
  • To follow the agreed recipes and food hygiene standards
  • To avoid waste and spoilage when preparing and /or cooking food
  • To operate in a safe and responsible manner with recognised techniques
  • To operate machines and cooking equipment in a reasonable manner
  • To understand the provisions and maintenance of the kitchen service
  • To work as part of a busy kitchen team and overall as part of a professional hotel team
  • Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
  • Keeping calm under pressure
  • Attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • To be flexible to work in other sections of the hotel food areas as required by the business

The Successful candidates will preferably have:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Have the ability to work well in a busy environment
  • Have a passion for quality and presentation for high quality food
  • Be HACCP trained and demonstrate excellent hygiene practice
  • Have a professional appearance and work attitude
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen environment
