Choice People are recruiting for a Director of Sales for one of the premium 4* establishments in the North West of Ireland. This post will have direct responsibility for management, development, and delegation of duties for the Sales and Marketing, Revenue and Reservations teams. You and the team have a substantial and direct influence on profitability of the Hotel.

The ideal candidate will be forward thinking and continuously looking at how the hotel can increase productivity through different methods and approaches. Must have experience in a similar hotel with a strong mix of corporate and leisure with the ability to develop all areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for setting and delivering company budgets, sales revenue and profitability in line with business targets in conjunction with the General Manager.
  • Managing all sales and marketing activities for the Hotel
  • Develop sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets
  • Customer relationship management and new business development via productive and targeted sales and marketing strategies and activities
  • Competitor analysis and database management
  • Involved in every aspect of representing, selling, and marketing the hotel brand – locally, nationally, and internationally
  • Responsible for auctioning the hotels overall marketing, PR and social media plans
  • Responsible for the implementation of Hotels & Resorts brand guidelines
  • Responsible for campaigns, launches, hotel websites and photography
  • Ability to proactively address any emerging business needs
  • Experience of working in the Business to Consumer marketing environment

The successful candidate will have:

  • A proven track record in successful sales and marketing, be target and results driven, preferably within the hospitality industry
  • Be able to demonstrate a creative skill, be a very strong communicator with excellent presentation skills
  • Relevant Sales and Marketing Qualifications
  • Digital Marketing Qualification (ideal but not essential)
  • Minimum 4 years’ Sales & Marketing experience
  • Strong outgoing personality, with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in the hospitality business (Sales, Reception, Reservations, Duty Management, Wedding Sales, PR or Tour Operator businesses) would be a decided advantage;
  • Proven record of meeting deadlines and targets, excellent attention to detail.
  • Full driving licence and own mode of transport, valid passport
