As the Financial and Commercial Controller, you will play a pivotal role within the leadership team at Discover Limerick, a key support to our newly appointed CEO as we enter an exciting phase of development. Discover Limerick aims to fortify its foundations and strengthen agility and capability across all operational facets. Our goal is to not only increase visitor numbers but also enhance the value of our visitor experiences throughout the city and county. This strategic alignment is in preparation for delivering a world-class welcome ahead of the Ryder Cup in 2027.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS – CANDIDATES MUST HAVE:

  • Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.
  • This is a key senior position and requires a dynamic person who can manage and maintain the finance function from end-to-end in the Company.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate financial and commercial data into actionable insights.
  • Proven expertise in strategic financial planning, financial modelling, and commercial analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders including board members.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis, forecasting and presentation purposes.
  • Ability to manage staff providing guidance, training and performance reviews.

FUNCTIONS OF RESPONSBILITY :

  1. Financial Control including accounting and audit.
  2. Commercial Control & Reporting, Management Accounting
  3. Governance and Procurement
