As the Financial Controller (FC) reporting directly to the MD, you will serve as a key business partner, responsible for unlocking the full potential of the management teams and fostering strong relationships with shareholders. The ideal candidate will possess a hands-on approach and a proven track record of success, particularly within the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the MD to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive growth and maximise profitability.
- Act as a trusted advisor to management teams, providing financial insights and guidance to optimize decision-making processes.
- Own and nurture relationships with shareholders, ensuring alignment of financial strategies with overall business objectives.
- Communicate financial performance, forecasts, and strategic plans effectively to shareholders and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies to safeguard the integrity of financial reporting.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Oversee all financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, to support sustainable growth and profitability.
- Analyse financial data and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and cost optimization.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Drive a culture of transparency and integrity across the organisation, promoting ethical behaviour and sound financial practices.
Requirements:
- Professional Accountancy Qualification
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- SAGE experience is desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Previous experience of managing a finance team.
- Previous experience in Food/ Dairy manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment is also desirable.
