General operative

Choice People are recruiting on behalf of our client for a General Operative/Mill Operator for a manufacturing company in Tipperary.

The candidate will be responsible for the following:

• To support the production requirements of the mill by working as part of a highly committed & efficient team.
• This will be physical, manual work.
• Loading goods onto trucks for transport.
• Securing loads quickly.
• Moving and rearranging stock. This is done manually or with the aid of special equipment.
• Following workplace health and safety guidelines
• Operate plant, monitor plant performance, in-process product testing and optimize efficiencies.
• Pellet & coarse ration production
• Liase with weighbridge team ordering in raw materials and coordinating loads going out.
• Maintain cleanliness of machinery and surrounding area.
• Keep supervisor and/or QC informed of any issues.
• Following production schedules/deadlines as directed mill manager/supervisor.
• Adhering to Company and statutory hygiene, quality, safety and environmental policies and standards.
• Any other duties as reasonably required.
• Setting and operating Milling Machines.

Candidates for this position should have:

• In-date fork-lift license is an advantage for this role.
• Proficient IT literacy skills.
• General Operative Experience
