Choice People are currently recruiting for an Events Manager for a prestigious golf company established in both UK and Ireland. The travel division also specialises in curating a calendar of bespoke, prestigious amateur golfer events that take place in Ireland and Scotland throughout the year.

The Events Operations Manager will manage the current events team to ensure all event preparation, execution onsite and follow up are professionally and efficiently operated. The role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. This role would be based in Dublin with a hybrid option and the suitable candidate would need to be available to work and execute all events midweek and weekends.

Main Duties:

  • Managing the planning and implementation of multiple events each calendar year.
  • Coordinating and managing supplier bookings per event.
  • Managing event budgets & invoicing.
  • Conducting pre-event site inspections.
  • Maintain Communication with event suppliers.
  • Coordinating content and communications with customers.
  • Coordinating on-site event teams / staffing.
  • Planning pre & post event itineraries for clients including additional golf, accommodation and transport.
  • Occasional travel (within Ireland and overseas), evening and weekend work is required.
  • Being on-site during events essential

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Third level degree in Event Management or similar.
  • Minimum two years’ work experience in travel event management/planning, or similar.
  • Strong Administrative Skills with the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Knowledge of Risk Management
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and be very accurate
  • Strong Customer Service Skills.
  • Problem solver with ability to use imitative.
  • Fully proficient in written and spoken English
  • Knowledge of golf industry preferred, but not essential.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word & Outlook.
  • Full clean driving licence essential.
  • Be a confident trainer
