Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-Day Administration: Oversee the daily administrative duties of the Human Resources department.
  • Employee Engagement: Foster a culture of engagement through effective communication and people management initiatives.
  • Timely Response: Address and resolve employee queries promptly.
  • Support Heads of Department: Advise and assist department heads in managing their teams, including recruitment, training, performance management, and employee development.
  • Recruitment Process: Manage and monitor the recruitment process, including advertising, screening, selection, and onboarding.
  • Onboarding Experience: Ensure all new employees receive necessary documentation and training for a positive and professional onboarding experience.
  • Compliance: Maintain and update employee files, ensuring compliance with statutory training requirements.
  • Training Coordination: Schedule and coordinate training sessions as required.
  • Disciplinary Process: Assist and support department heads in managing the disciplinary process, ensuring fair procedures.
  • Grievance Management: Handle employee grievances appropriately, liaising with the Group HR Manager as required.
  • Payroll Submission: Submit weekly payroll to the payroll department.
  • Project Implementation: Ensure effective implementation of group-wide HR projects and initiatives.
  • Communication: Maintain transparent and positive communication with Heads of Department and the management team.
  • Absenteeism Management: Monitor and manage absenteeism within the hotel.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualification in Human Resources Management (or currently studying towards one).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an HR role or within an HR department.
  • Good knowledge of Irish employment law and best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
