Choice People on behalf of their Client are searching for an Operations Manager with responsibility for F&B to join the team of this busy 4 Star Hotel in Co Offaly.
This role will involve maximizing income potential across all food and beverage outlets. The F&B Operations Manager will guide and supervise the team to ensure that the hotel works in a safe, effective, and efficient manner at all times. In this role you will be required to work in and support numerous departments within the hotel makes this an exciting position.
- Key Responsibilities:
- To ensure that all departments are fully staffed and running smoothly.
- To do walk-arounds of the hotel and ensure that everyone and everything is as it should be.
- Ensure cash procedures are adhered to and strictly monitored, including preparation and calculation of bills within all departments, and cashing up of tills.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers.
- Liaise with reception and sales department regarding handover and organisation of functions.
- Ensure standard operating procedures are always achieved and maintained and are monitored and updated when and where necessary.
- Ensure employee conduct, uniform and personal hygiene requirements are adhered to.
- Produce effective rotas to ensure staffing levels are appropriate and efficient.
- To promote the Hotel and its facilities to all prospective guests or customers to maximise sales and revenue.
- Enforce Licensing Laws, Rules of Management & in-house security policies.
- Pro-active in problem solving and work on own initiative to deal with problems and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness, and promoting a safe working environment.
- To ensure good lines of communication between departments.
- To offer suggestions for the improvement of the service and facilities.
- Any other reasonable duties as directed by management.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as an F&B Manager or Assistant F&B Manager in a 4 Star Hotel in Ireland is essential for this role.
- Excellent food and beverage product knowledge and commercial acumen is key.
- Customer focused and standards driven.
- A proven track record managing a large team is a must.
- Strong financial skills are required, purchasing, stock control, roster management, waste management etc.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- A strong leader who is an excellent multi-tasker.
- A positive can-do attitude.
- Full working rights to work in Ireland.
- Own transport and full clean license.
