Choice People is currently recruiting a Food Safety & Quality Coordinator for a leading food manufacturing facility in North Dublin. This pivotal role involves ensuring the conformance of raw materials, maintaining the quality of finished products, and managing food safety compliance within the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring adherence to Irish and EU food safety standards.
  • Addressing customer concerns effectively.
  • Driving continuous improvement in supplier performance and quality processes.

The Coordinator will collaborate closely with internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders to uphold the companys commitment to excellence, sustainability, and compliance. This role significantly contributes to the success of Irelands FMCG and food manufacturing sectors.

With duties to include:

  • Customer Complaints & Claims Management
  • Trend Analysis & Reporting
  • Raw Material Conformance & Supplier Management
  • Traceability & Audit Preparation
  • Compliance with Irish and EU Regulations
  • Collaboration & Cross-Departmental Support
  • Investigate all customer complaints, chill claims, and customer rejections, ensuring root cause analysis is conducted, and corrective/preventive actions are implemented.
  • Communicate findings promptly to customers and consumers, maintaining a professional and transparent approach.
  • Update the internal team during daily operations meetings and ensure timely resolution and record-keeping of all complaints.
  • Conduct forward and backward traceability checks to ensure compliance with Irish and EU food safety regulations.
  • Ensure all processes align with Irish and EU food safety standards, such as HACCP, BRC Global Standards, and ISO 22000.
  • Stay updated on evolving regulatory requirements, particularly those governed by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI).
  • Support the companys commitment to traceability and sustainability, contributing to programs like Origin Green and Irelands Green Food Strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including Supply Chain, Operations, and Compliance, to maintain quality objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a food safety or quality assurance role within the FMCG or food manufacturing sector in Ireland or EU Sites
  • Strong understanding of Irish and EU food safety standards and regulations, including HACCP, BRC, and ISO 22000.
  • Proficiency in complaint investigation, trend analysis, and supplier management.
  • Familiarity with sustainability initiatives like Origin Green is advantageous.

This is a full time permanent role that is based onsite five days per week. You will require your own transport to access this site and must be eligible to work in the republic of Ireland.
