Choice People are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced General Manager, Reporting to the Hotel’s Owner, the Hotel Manager will be a hands-on role primarily responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Hotel with a strong financial background.To be successful in this role the ideal candidate will enjoy the prospect of working in a fast-paced, busy working environment. They will have a background in large 4* or 5* Hotels with a strong F&B and Event business, ideally within a private or family-owned environment.
- Solid hands-on hotel management experience in a 4* or 5* Hotel environment preferably as a Food & Beverage Manager or Operations Manager
- Hands-on experience in Hotel operations, specifically, Food & Beverage, Conference & Banqueting and HR
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of commercial and financial knowledge including budgeting and forecasts.
- Passionate about standards and provision of excellence in hospitality
- Ability to lead and motivate a strong team of Departmental Managers and drive inclusiveness throughout the organisation
- Strong personality and ability to promote fun through work ethos
- Ability to apply a common-sense approach to problem-solving and foresight to anticipate and prevent problems from developing.
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
- Impeccable leadership and management skills, a strong work ethic with an emphasis on effective communication practices.
- Keen understanding of hotel related laws and regulations including Health & Safety, Fire & Employment Law.
