Operations Manager – F&B/Hotel

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all departments are fully staffed and running smoothly.
• Conduct walk-arounds of the hotel to ensure optimal operations and guest satisfaction.
• Adhere to and monitor cash procedures, including bill preparation, calculation, and till cashing up.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers.
• Liaise with reception and sales departments regarding function handovers and organization.
• Achieve and maintain standard operating procedures, updating them as necessary.
• Ensure employee conduct, uniforms, and personal hygiene standards are met.
• Produce effective rotas to ensure appropriate and efficient staffing levels.
• Promote the hotel and its facilities to maximize sales and revenue.
• Enforce licensing laws, management rules, and in-house security policies.
• Proactively solve problems and take initiative to address opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness, and promoting a safe working environment.
• Facilitate good communication between departments.
• Offer suggestions to improve service and facilities.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by management.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have previous experience as an F&B Manager or Assistant F&B Manager in a 4 Star Hotel in Ireland.
• Possess excellent food and beverage product knowledge and commercial acumen.
• Be customer-focused and standards-driven.
• Have a proven track record of managing a large team.
• Demonstrate strong financial skills in purchasing, stock control, roster management, and waste management.
• Exhibit excellent communication and time management skills.
• Be a strong leader and an excellent multi-tasker.
• Maintain a positive, can-do attitude.
• Have full working rights to work in Ireland.
• Own transport and a full clean driving license.
