Choice People are seeking a Refrigeration Engineer/Technician for a leading company specialising in precision air handling equipment. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to design and develop advanced cooling systems for critical environments such as telecommunications, edge computing, and healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Select refrigeration components, design piping layouts, build prototypes, and conduct testing for advanced cooling products.
• Design and specify components such as valves, compressors, and piping systems to meet product requirements.
• Perform performance testing by installing prototypes in controlled environments to verify cooling efficiency.
• Assist in developing technical documentation, including datasheets, manuals, and product guides.
• Define and document piping and wiring requirements to ensure smooth production.
• Conduct end-of-line testing to confirm product quality and proper functionality.
• Collaborate with software teams and equipment vendors to ensure seamless system integration.
• Carry out site commissioning, including method statements and risk assessments.
• Apply lean principles to improve processes and enhance efficiency.

Requirements:

• Qualification in HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, or manufacturing fields.
• Experience in designing and developing refrigeration or HVAC systems, including component selection and sizing.
• Hands-on project management experience, ideally within the HVAC industry.
• Strong attention to detail for design work and preparing Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
• A professional approach when interacting with clients and leading production builds.
