Your key responsibilities will include:
- Team Leadership: Assist the Head Chef in leading, training, and managing the kitchen team.
- Operational Expertise: Manage daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth running in the Head Chef’s absence.
- Food Excellence: Direct food preparation and production while maintaining high standards in quality, presentation, and service.
- HACCP Management: Maintain and implement electronic HACCP procedures and records.
- Customer Engagement: Address guest issues promptly, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
What We are Looking For
You will excel in this role if you bring:
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead kitchen operations in the Head Chef’s absence and communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
- Culinary Expertise: At least 2 years’ experience in a professional kitchen or high-volume production catering environment.
- HACCP Knowledge: Familiarity with HACCP documentation and food safety practices.
- Self-Motivation: Dedication, reliability, and a proactive approach to managing operations.
- Calm Under Pressure: A courteous, calm manner in all situations.
- Language & Rights: Fluent English and full working rights in Ireland.
- Additional Requirements: Basic food hygiene certification, a full clean driving license, and own transport.
