Technical Sales Executive

Choice People are recruiting on behalf of an Irish company who supply market leading software and hardware solutions into warehousing, distribution and order fulfilment to multinational businesses and SME’s. Our business is now expanding to offer advanced warehouse systems, autonomous automation, robotics and warehouse controls systems. We are looking to recruit an experienced individual to develop the expansion into our existing customer base and new projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • To manage the sales and business development of the systems division.
  • To build lasting customer relations and manage the proposal from initial introduction to final presentation, work with our hardware and software team.
  • Continuously identify new opportunities.
  • Work with our partner suppliers to develop solutions for our customers.
  • Maintaining regular contact with existing customers.
  • Traveling to the customer’s location to talk about our product range.
  • Demonstrating the technical features and benefits of our products.
  • Advising customers on technology upgrades and related products.
  • Composing tender documents and customer proposals.
  • Generating purchase orders and sales receipts.
  • Maintaining strong customer relations.
  • Attending product training courses and seminars.
  • Meeting sales targets.

Technical Sales Executive Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in business administration or related field.
  • Previous experience as a sales executive.
  • Strong knowledge of scientific and technical products.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems and Office Software.
  • Ability to meet sales and commission targets.
  • Ability to travel


  • Five plus years of Sales experience in software and/or technical selling.
  • Degree in business administration or related field/desirable not essential
  • Demonstrate track record of selling high value business solutions, preferably with some knowledge and experience of the automation or warehouse sector.
  • Communicative skills at all levels.
  • Sound people management skills.
  • A committed team player.
  • Budgeting preparation and financial awareness.
  • We are very strong in pharma/medical device industry so experience working in this sector would be advantageous.
  • Computer literate.
  • Must Have Valid Driving License


Salary of 40-45k. including annual bonus to 80k, based on company performance.
